The PSU Planning Committee, formed from faculty, administrators, community leaders, students and other stakeholders, was given a charge by Provost Mary Kay Tetreault in the Fall of 2001 to articulate our institutional values and vision. This was the first step in a process to sharpen our institutional priorities and provide guidance for future initiatives.

The Committee completed its work in 2002-03. During 2003-04, it approved the planning priorities developed by a subcommittee of the Council of Academic Deans and provided feedback on how to communicate the University's vision and values to the campus community.
