ME 492 Schedule - Winter 2000

In this course, the students form product development teams and select industry sponsored design projects. Through strict adherence to the product development methodology covered in ME 491, teams work on their design tasks in Winter and Spring terms.

Grading

The grading is primarily based on the team performance as a whole. The grading would be based on:

  • Quality of Proposal Report
  • Quality of Progress Reports
  • Evaluation of team meeting effectiveness
    • Agenda preparation
    • Adequate planning
    • Continuity of operation
    • Adequate meeting summary preparation
    • Preparedness of team members
  • Quality of presentations
  • Attendance at guest lectures
  • Quality of final report

  • Analysis of market and customer surveys
  • QFD
  • Project Plan
