Assessment Council
Assessment Council was constituted to help develop plans for assessment of student learning campus-wide and to assist in the implementation of assessment strategies.
Charge
- To determine goals that will result in data that can be used to achieve broad purposes such as improving student learning, strengthening faculty development, guiding reform, and providing to relevant constituencies, with the goal of improving the quality of learning and. The Council will focus on coordination of efforts, gaining consistency where, and establishing opportunities for gathering information about student learning.
- To act as a catalyst for assessment within the schools and colleges and to support assessment of individual units so that meaningful data are produced closest to the affected unit.
- To dovetail Council activities with the Urban Universities Portfolio Project.
