Alumni Support Students

The Alumni Association also supports current PSU students by awarding one full tuition scholarship to a student each year, awarding grants to many student groups, and sponsoring one student ambassador.

The Alumni Association at PSU has two major goals:

1. Advance the University and promote its goals, whether through advocacy in the legislature, promoting PSU's reputation or encouraging its connections to the community.

2. Serve PSU alumni and their needs, and help to keep PSU's alumni involved with the University.

Alumni volunteers staff board and committees

Alumni volunteers staff the alumni board of directors, and work in three committees dedicated to the advancement of the university and continued participation of alumni in university affairs.

Advocacy Committee – Works directly with the Oregon Legislature to promote higher education policies and funding.
Communication Committee – Manages communications between the Alumni Association and alumni, including maintenance of a web page, publication of brochures and invitations, and other outreach for events, awards, grants and other association-sponsored activities.
Connections Committee – Organizes outreach efforts to alumni in the Portland metropolitan area, the state and around the country.
