Enrollment in Community-based Learning Courses

Initiative

Through the University Studies Program and its civic engagement initiatives, PSU has made a commitment to increasing student involvement in community-based learning. The University provides development opportunities and support to faculty in developing courses surrounding community issues. Student enrollment is expected to increase over time, so that every undergraduate and graduate student has the opportunity for service learning and community involvement.

The enrollment figures reported below represent the duplicated headcount enrollments for all community-based learning courses offered during four-terms of the academic year. They do not represent the numbers of individual students enrolled in courses during the year, but are intended to demonstrate student interest in community-based courses offered by PSU.
