Computer & Information Science Degree Production

Initiative

(Please note: In 2003 this common indicator was combined with the common indictor "Engineering Degree Production" to form a new consolidated indicator called "CIS and Eng Degree Production".)

Increasing degree production in computing and information science will help PSU meet the economic development needs of the metropolitan area and the state. A new PhD in Computer Science and enhanced laboratory facilities will provide increased opportunities to attract and retain students.

From 1998-99 through 1999-2000, the number of CIS degrees awarded increased 1.9% each year.

Actual performance

In 2001-02, the number of CIS degrees awarded increased by 2.5%.
